<image:caption>Steph is a self-taught artist based in Ottawa, Ontario, known for her vibrant hand-painted window art and playful custom chalkboard designs. As co-owner of Wicked Windows Ottawa, she brings colour and creativity to local businesses, events, and community spaces. With a background in theatre and a passion for storytelling, Steph uses every brushstroke to spark joy and curiosity. Her work blends whimsy with precision, transforming everyday surfaces into eye-catching displays that invite people to pause, smile, and engage. Whether she’s painting for a seasonal storefront or crafting a one-of-a-kind piece for a special occasion or event, Steph’s mission is simple: to draw attention—in the best way possible. In all honesty, Steph just likes to "art" - she'll draw or paint on just about anything because art is for everyone. She's done live painting pieces as parts of live auction fundraising events, she's painted a car, she's designed and facilitated custom paint-by-number community art projects, and she's even had the honour of painting an urn for a client who wanted their final resting place to be expressive and unique.</image:caption>

Known for her soulful in-home children’s photos and portraiture of all kinds, she loves storytelling through imagery. Clients praise her sensitivity and skill in capturing more than just a face—she captures the true essence of a person, a place, a moment. Her travels fuel her creativity, and she finds joy in transforming those fulfilling moments into lasting memories and wall galleries for her clients—artful arrangements that make homes and workplaces alike feel more alive. Through her work, Marcie invites you to slow down, look closely, and join her in exploring these moments—to celebrate the beauty of life in all its forms. His creations blend traditional and digital art, exploring resilience, transformation, and the intimate layers of the human spirit. His words and images mirror each other, carrying the emotions of exile, memory, and rebirth. His work has been exhibited internationally, from New York’s Times Square to London, Venice, Basel, Istanbul, Dubai, and Amsterdam. <image:caption>2025, Single Edition, Giclee print on matte canvas, 41" X 55".There is a quiet ache that comes with being far from where the heart belongs. This piece carries that feeling. A boat waiting in still water surrounded by fog caught between two places. The church in the distance feels like a memory blurred but never forgotten. For anyone who lives with that same longing who misses the sound of familiar streets and the warmth of home this is for you. One day we will go back.</image:caption>

<image:caption>2024, Single Edition, Giclee print on matte canvas, 60" X 45". In this digital mixed media artwork, I blended realism with abstraction to capture the emotional depth of Batroun's harbor. The vibrant colors and textured layers reflect the warmth, pride, and memories I hold of this coastal town. Each element — from the boats to the reflections — symbolizes the stories carried by the sea. The interplay of digital techniques with traditional aesthetics creates a dynamic narrative, highlighting the connection between past and present. Through this piece, I wanted to share how Batroun is more than just a place; it’s a feeling, a memory, and a part of me.</image:caption>

<image:caption>2025, Limited Edition of 5, Giclee print on matte canvas, 24" X 28". There was a time I drifted without direction. After loss between countries between versions of myself. The sea became a mirror — unpredictable layered and quiet. In that silence I found the courage to keep sailing. This piece is not about loneliness. It is about learning to be with yourself and still move forward.</image:caption>

This artwork reflects the view of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church from the seaside of my hometown Batroun. It holds a deep personal connection as I often saw it during my walks along the fishing harbor. Through this piece I wanted to capture the beauty and nostalgia of those moments preserving the charm of a place that shaped my journey.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Growing up, our family library was filled with art albums by great masters. I would spend hours looking through them, secretly dreaming of one day speaking the language of painting. Though I wasn’t able to attend art school as a child, I followed another path—one rooted in the exact sciences. Half a lifetime later, everything changed after a visit to an art gallery in Toronto and a chance meeting with local artists. Curiosity sparked a question: Could I create something myself? That question led me to the Will Kemp Art School—where, before each lesson, Will would joyfully say, “Let’s grab some biscuits and start to paint.” From there, I began a new chapter of learning: first online, then in-person sessions with inspiring teachers, and later at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. I continue to take classes and explore different styles, always searching for my own artistic voice. Today, I work primarily in oil and acrylic, and more recently, watercolour. I am especially drawn to painting animals—particularly Australian wildlife. After volunteering at a wildlife rescue center in Australia, I began painting the animals I met: kangaroos, wombats, flying foxes, and more. My art is now deeply connected to that experience. Through it, I aim to share the personality and quiet beauty of these creatures, and raise awareness for the sanctuaries that care for them. A portion of the proceeds from my art sales is donated to wildlife rescue organizations. Art, for me, is not just about self-expression—it’s about connection, compassion, and giving back. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned: it’s never too late to follow a dream.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Oil on canvas, 20 H x 24 W, NFS High in the gum trees, two cheeky cockatoos burst into song at the break of dawn—loud, proud, and absolutely unstoppable. “G’day, people! Wake up! The little roos and wombats are hungry!” they seem to shout, as the bush stirs to life. Inspired by mornings at Water Creek Wildlife Rescue, this painting captures the beauty and boldness of these iconic Australian birds—beloved, noisy, and impossible to ignore. And if you’re lucky? Maybe you’ll get five more minutes of sleep... if you put your head under the pillow fast enough.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I have dabbled in the visual arts since I was 25. I started my BFA in Art Ed when I was 32. Then I completed it after my daughter finished her high school. In my last year at Concordia we were told to join an art club; so, we could write it on our CV. I joined the Women's Art Society of Montreal in 2014. I wasn't going to attend their lectures, as I never joined anything in my life, but I figured, I paid for the membership, I may as well check it out. It turned out that I just fell in love with the group. They were so friendly, inviting and very talented. I was president for 2 years there, and my favourite things to do were to put on the annual show and to promote the members through the newsletter. I wrote a book on the club's history called "The Women's Art Society of Montreal And Its Place in History 1894-2019". I left the group in 2019 and started my own online art club in 2021 called Artists in Montréal / Artistes à Montréal. I still enjoy painting, but my real passion is showcasing Montreal artists and helping them to sell their work through their online presence, our three annual art shows and promoting them on our newsletter, blog, Instagram and Facebook etc. In 2025 we have also started having in-person workshops. We have had two annual luncheons so far, and we hope to start having an annual Christmas fair. We became a non-profit in December 2023. We have a great board who are doing wonders for the club. Our membership is growing with over 200 members so far.</image:caption>

After taking a break, he recently rekindled his love for the art and now seizes every opportunity to explore it once more. Inspired by the cityscape, Alex blends urban landscapes with geometric elements, creating striking compositions that highlight the structure and rhythm of everyday life. Whether on a casual walk or an intentional shoot, he finds beauty in the lines, angles, and perspectives that shape his surroundings.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Elham Rahimi was born in Iran. As far as she remember, she always had papers and color pencils for drawing with herself. As she grew up, her innate artistic talent has developed, and one of her major hobby was to paint. Driven by her passion for art, she decided to complete a Bachelor of Fine Art at the University of Tehran. She worked in painting and graphic design together, because they are not separated fields to her. She did many projects in graphic designs and illustrations and participate in several exhibitions of painting in Iran and Montreal. She came to Montreal in 2016 where she owned a (DEP) degree in computer graphics. After coming to Canada, she started her favorite activity over; painting, outside of work. Most of the paintings came from spirit of nature and one of the important inspirations for her is the relationship with nature and colors. Because every artist needs an audience, she would like to share her world with the other people.</image:caption>

<image:caption>2019-Acrylic-100*70 cm- "Heaven" is a captivating painting that merges portraiture with nature, symbolizing beauty, serenity, and transcendence. The woman's face, framed by an intricate floral crown, radiates a sense of mystery and harmony. Vibrant roses in shades of pink, yellow, and white blend seamlessly with lush greenery, creating an ethereal aura. The deep, dark background enhances the contrast, evoking a dreamlike, celestial atmosphere. Through expressive brushstrokes and rich textures, Heaven embodies a fusion of nature and spirit, celebrating the divine essence of femininity and life.</image:caption>

<image:caption>2019-Acrylic-60*90cm-A Woman Who Names IRAN" is an emotionally charged painting inspired by the struggles and resilience of Iran and its people in recent times. The central figure, a woman covering her face, represents sorrow, oppression, and the silent strength of Iranian women. Her flowing skirt, dripping with deep red tones, symbolizes the sacrifices, bloodshed, and pain endured by the nation. The birds in flight suggest hope, resistance, and the dream of freedom, contrasting with the somber undertones of the piece. Through bold textures and expressive colors, this artwork captures the profound emotions of a nation fighting for change, justice, and liberation.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I was born in Kielce, Poland. After finishing elementary school I went on to become an electrician as someone had suggested this would provide a good salary. Due to communism I left Poland in 1981 and came to Canada, first arriving in Alberta. Perhaps I had more of a chance here in Canada, so I went to the Alberta College of Arts in Calgary. It was as if I had found myself, what I realize now is that I had felt imprisoned within myself. A timid and withdrawn child from such an authoritarian childhood, finally I could express myself. Surrendering into the beauty of creation. Every painting seemed like I was learning to grow and heal. My heart winged with iris petals, flutters during the warm melting of winter. Ready to be immersed in the budding richness of spring - this is the time that makes me feel like a new born baby, full of wonder and fantasy, mission to find a perfect flower to bring home and seduce; Immortalize forever with passionate brush strokes...</image:caption>

<image:caption>Influenced by the beauty of nature and poetry, Helen is an expressionist artist focussing on abstraction and landscape. Throughout her career as a promoter, she has been privy to what make artists tick and understands the tremendous influence art has in unifying community. It is her personal mission to get this message across via her art and involvement in various arts groups in Montreal.</image:caption>
