Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. The term also translate as ‘‘ The way of flowers’’. Originating from arrangements created for Buddhist temples, Ikebana is a Japanese discipline that unites nature, humanity and spirituality. These arrangements emphasize form ,lines, and textures.Traditional arrangements follow specific compositional rules based on three key points that form a triangle, symbolizing HEAVEN, HUMANITY and EARTH.
Established in the 17th century, the Koryu Shoutoukai school uses traditional arrangements as the foundation for its floral compositions, while simultaneously expressing modernity through its free-style creations.
On display at Studio M from November 10 to 15, 2026
